Upgrade from Canon 550D to 6D

Hi, I made the move to full format which means in my case that I upgraded from the Canon 550D to 6D. What a step. I had some concerns regarding if the price would make it worth it.

It did.

It’s awesome in low light and together with a f/1.4 prime 50mm lens it makes magic. The thing is that taking photos is more fun than ever – thanks Canon 🙂

VSCO film and landscape

I just updated to the VSCO film package 01 to get the custom camera profiles for my camera. I have wondered about it for a while but finally I took the decision to buy it. Was it worth it – yes..

I have discovered that a lot of you ends up on my site by searching for either vscocam or vscofilm, once in a while it also is together with the search word landscape.

So to celebrate the new update, I added three landscape shoots I took another day, three shoots that would love to be processed in vscofilm.

Evening light

I got a lot of inspiration from Choate House lately. When I found a new inspiring photographer(s) I usually ask myself the following question: why do I like theirs photos?

In this case I loved the honest contact they got when they are doing portraits, the way they handle the tones (object and background) but most of all the way they show respect for the light. Yes, photographing is painting with light but it is all about mastering the light. Soft light and harsh light, when to use it and when to avoid it.

So when the sun was setting yesterday I saw a Dandelion (the most photographed flower on flicker?) on my backyard. I grab my iPhone and took a shot with what I felt was very good quality on the light and I must say that I think the photo got a lot more interesting by the better light.

Take care and may the light be with you..
